Access to the user interface

Precondition:
  1. 1.
    The Hydrom must be powered on How to switch on the Hydrom can be found here: Turn on the Hydrom
  2. 2.
    The Hydrom must be in configuration mode In normal operation, no user interface is loaded in order not to waste the battery charge. Therefore, the Hydrom must be put into configuration mode.
    You can detect if the Hydrom is in Deepsleep when the green LED is on as described here: 1-status-led-of-the-hydrom-logic
    If the Hydrom is in Deepsleep, it can be woken up according to the instructions on this page: Start in Configuration-Mode

Connect to the Hydrom via browser

The Hydrom unfortunately only supports Wifi with a frequency of 2.5 GHz, so it is not able to receive 5 GHz Wifi.

    Connect to the network of the hydrom by selecting the wifi "hydrom_XXXXX".
  2. 2.
    Access the WebUI in any browser by going to the following address http://192.168.2.1

If the Hydrom is already connected to the WLAN

Requirement that the Hydrom has for the WLAN:
  • 802.11 b/g/n
  • 802.11 n (2.4 GHz), up to 150 Mbps
  • WLAN name length: max 30 characters
  • WLAN password length: max 63 characters
  • Supported special characters for name and password:
  • a-zA-Z0-9!/#$&'()*+a-zA-Z0-9!/#$
  • Security: WEP/WPA-TKIP/WPA2-CCMP

If the name of the hydrom has been changed, the hydrom must be reached under the newly selected name.
Whether the access via the host name works is highly dependent on the router used. If this does not work, please check your router for the IP address of your Hydrom. Then you can access the device via http:///.
